Buildings as Flow of Transformations

This contribution examines the multi-layered interaction of social and architectural spatial patterns in the emergence and transformation of post-war modernist architectural ensembles using the Rollbergsiedlung in Berlin-Neukölln as an example. It wants to give impulses for an alternative view of buildings, which should be understood less as static artefacts than as a flow of transformations (Latour and Yaneva 2008).
